DateDetect — Terms of Service
Effective: 19 August 2026 · Last updated: 17 September 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Dani DI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16989183), 16 Manford Cross, London, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using DateDetect you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What DateDetect is — and is not
DateDetect analyses material you provide and reports patterns associated with romance and investment fraud.
It is a risk assessment of the material you provide. It is not a verdict about any person.
Specifically:
- A high-risk result does not establish that anyone is a criminal, is lying, or has done anything wrong.
- A low-risk result does not establish that anyone is genuine, safe, or trustworthy. It means no known patterns appeared in what you gave us. Skilled fraud leaves few traces early on, and our assessment cannot see anything you did not share or anything that has not happened yet.
- We do not verify identity. We do not check criminal records. We do not run facial recognition.
- Our output is informational. Decisions about your relationships, your money, and your safety remain yours.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
4. Your warranties about what you upload
By uploading material you confirm that:
- You have lawful access to it. It is a conversation you took part in, or material you are otherwise entitled to possess and share. You did not obtain it by accessing another person's device, account, or messages without authorisation.
- You are not uploading material obtained in breach of a court order, an injunction, or a protective order.
- You are not uploading intimate images of any person.
- You are not uploading material concerning anyone under 18.
You are responsible for what you upload. If you upload material you had no right to, that is your act, not ours.
5. Prohibited uses
You must not use DateDetect:
- To monitor, investigate, track, or gather information about a partner, former partner, family member, colleague, or any other person in a way that intrudes on their privacy — including checking whether a partner is being unfaithful.
- For stalking, harassment, intimidation, coercion, or as part of any pattern of controlling behaviour.
- To make or inform decisions about employment, tenancy, credit, insurance, immigration, or any legal proceeding.
- To publish, share, or accuse any identified person on the basis of a report.
- To build any dataset, list, or product from our output, including by automated collection.
- In breach of the terms of any dating platform or messaging service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe are being used this way.
6. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: uploads are deleted immediately after analysis, conversation content is never stored in our database, and reports are kept in your account for 30 days unless you delete them sooner.
7. Payment
DateDetect is currently provided free of charge. If paid features are introduced, prices and payment terms will be shown before you are asked to pay. Where a one-off report is purchased and delivered, it is supplied immediately at your request; to the extent permitted by law, the right of withdrawal does not apply once the report has been generated. This does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
8. Availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service, and we may change these terms. We give notice of material changes where we reasonably can. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decision you take on the basis of a report, for any financial loss, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Intellectual property
The service, its pattern library, and its reports are ours. Your report is yours to use for your own purposes. The material you upload remains yours; you grant us only the licence needed to process it and produce your report.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account page, which permanently removes your data. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
13. Contact
14. If you are in danger
DateDetect is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. If you have lost money, contact your bank straight away and report it to your national police or cybercrime unit.
